SmarterDx builds clinical AI that improves hospital revenue cycle outcomes. It's now part of Smarter Technologies following the recent $1.1B deal with New Mountain Capital. The ML team owns the modeling and infrastructure behind the product's clinical document understanding and reasoning, deployed across health systems with real patients and real money on the line.
What you'll do
- Build and ship ML-driven features across the clinical AI product
- Own reusable ML architecture, pipelines, and dev experience for the team
- Take models from prototype to reliable production deployment
- Collaborate with clinical experts and product on what to model
What they're looking for
- Senior-level ML engineering experience with shipped production systems
- Strong Python and modern ML stack (PyTorch, sklearn, common NLP tooling)
- Comfortable owning models end-to-end (training, deployment, monitoring)
- Healthcare or other regulated-domain experience is a plus, not required
