Neo.Tax automates R&D tax credits and software cost capitalization for enterprises, with customers including Mercury, Brex, Notion, Adobe, and Capital One. The product extracts and reasons over data from PM, payroll, identity, and financial systems, using a mix of traditional ML and modern LLM pipelines. The team is hiring a senior IC who can own ML problems end-to-end and ship into production.
What you'll do
- Own ML and AI problems end-to-end: classification, information extraction, entity resolution, ranking, anomaly detection
- Design and ship LLM systems (prompting, retrieval, tool-calling, evaluation) in production
- Build and maintain batch and real-time inference pipelines
- Collaborate with product and engineering on what to model and how to ship it
What they're looking for
- 6+ years of applied ML / DS experience with shipped production work
- Strong Python (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow) and SQL
- Real LLM experience — prompts, retrieval, agents, evals (not just demos)
- Bonus: synthetic data, RAG at scale, fine-tuning
